DAY 1: Hotel in Taipei/Puli/Sun Moon Lake (X/ L/ D)
You will be pickup from your hotel in Taipei then proceed to Puli town. After lunch at Puli (flower banquet or local dishes), proceed to Shuishe Visitor Centre at SunMoonLake; whichproviding visitors to SunMoonLake with a solid and complete tourist service. Shueishe is SunMoonLake's vehicle transfer area, and it is also the location of a famous scenic commerce street. There is a beautiful view from ShueisheWharf. The perfectly designed floating wharf has not lost its classically elegant appearance through modern design, and many activities and performances take place here. You will have a bike tour around SunMoonLake. Riding high-end Giant bicycles, you will be able to enjoy all of the natural charms of the lake area up close and personal. Later you will visit the One-Town-One-Product (OTOP) Store in which specializing in products that have been traditionally produced there, are of cultural importance, are unique, and are made with raw materials found in the area. Here you’ll find a selection of the best and most representative products of Taiwan’s main and offshore islands categorized as “decoration”, “food”, “drink” and “other”. We will continue with SunMoonLake black tea and agricultural products tasting tour conducted by Yuchi Township Farmers Association. After enjoying SunMoonLake special delicacy dinner, you will be staying overnight in Sun Moon Lake.

DAY 2: Maolan Mt/Arai kokichiro Memorial site/Sun Moon Lake/Hotel in Taipei (B/ L/ X)
Today we will go up MaolanMountain for tea plantations by a 4.6km trailwhich starts next to MingtanJunior High School and runs to the Yuchih Branch of the Tea Research and Extension Station and also to the Sun Moon Lake Weather Station of the Central Weather Bureau. Along your way, you will see a memorial site for the last director of Yuchi Branch of the Tea Experiment Station – Arai Kokichiro. Continue up to the mountain, you will soon come to the Yuchih Branch Office of the Tea Research and Extension Station (Tea Improvement Station). This is a fine place to take in the complete scenery of SunMoonLake. Inside this research and extension station is a three-story wooden building, white on the bottom and black on top, which is an old tea-processing plant dating back to the Japanese period. The building has an old classic elegance. The slope of the valley to the left of the processing plant is an enchanting sight of a mountainside filled with tea plants. Next we will visit the Tea Culture Exhibition Hall and experiencing the tea making and tasting SunMoonLake black tea-flavored cuisine. Then the rest of the day you will go for SunMoonLake boat tour and enjoying indigenous performance by The Thao people of SunMoonLake. At the end of the tour, you will be transfer back to your hotel in Taipei.
Notes: 1. The Tea Culture Exhibition Hall accepts group visits on weekdays, but by appointment only.
2. The tea making experience is limited by season, and prior appointment is necessary.
