3 Days East-West Cross Island Scenic Tour

Day 1  Taipei /Taroko Gorge National Park      

08:30 After breakfast, we will be picked-up from hotel-via Cingshuei Cliff -Su Hua Highway onward to Taroko Gorge.Taroko Gorge is an exceptionally beautiful area of Taiwan. It is the 'Seven Wonder of Asia", its narrow raving created by the Liwu River which has cut deep into the mountains of solid marble. A road carved into sheer walls of rock rewinding its way past forested peaks and cliffs towering thousands of feet above it, while hundreds of feet below a river roars past gigantic marble boulders. Stops will be made at Eternal Spring Shrine, Swallow Grotto, Tunnel of Nine Turns, and Taroko Gorge.After that we will proceed to hotel for check in, stay overnight at Taroko Gorge National Park.

Day 2  Taroko Gorge / Sun Moon Lake (B)

Onward to East / West Cross island scenic road-Cingjing Farm,then drive to Sun Moon Lake which is located in the middle of Taiwan and situated 762 meters above sea level in the lofty mountains of Central Taiwan. Tour will stop at the famous Wenwu Temple and Literature Warrior Temple dedicated to Confucius as Master of Pen and to Kuan Ti as Master of Sword, Holy Monk Shrine. After touring around the Sun Moon Lake, proceed to hotel for check in, stay overnight at Sun Moon Lake.

Day 3   Sun Moon Lake/ Puli /  Ching Tai Buddhist Monastery / Taipei (B)

After check out at hotel, we will depart for Puli, and then stop at Papery workshop, Chung Tai Buddhist Monastery, at the end of the tour you will be transferred to Taipei city's hotel.

The famous cultural town of Puli , which has among its attractions a hand-made-paper factory, temples, a lacquer-ware workshop, a winery, and restaurants serving flower cuisine. South of Puli is Shueili, which has a popular "snake kiln" pottery theme park and the quaint narrow-gauge Jiji rail line.

Chung Tai Buddhist Monastery (中台禪寺), completed on September 2001, is one of the largest Buddhist monasteries in Taiwan. Widely admired as an architectural masterpiece because of the mountain monastery's more modern look, the temple is second only to Fo Guang Shan's monastery in physical size and in the number of ordained disciples. The temple is situated in Puli in Central Taiwan.

The temple follows traditional Chinese Ch'an, emphasizing on teachings based on sudden enlightenment and gradual cultivation. Chung Tai Chan Monastery now has established more than 90 meditation centers and branches in Taiwan and abroad.

You will arrive at your hotel in Taipei at about 6PM.
