Day 1(Fri) - Taoyuan (X/X/X) Arrive at Taoyuan Airport (TPE). To be transferred to hotel by car/van ( without guide) Free at your own leisure for the day.You will be able to use the free time to explore the early morning of Taipei in the nearby area of your hotel. Hotel: Fortune Haiyatt Hotel (3)
Day 2 (Sat)- Taipei City (B/X/X) 08:30 After breakfast, you will be picked up by English driver guide and visit Taipei City, Presidential Building (Pass by), Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall and National Palace Museum (has the world's largest Chinese art and painting collection), Martyrs' Shrine, Chinese Temple, then the Taiwanese Handicraft Centre, where you can see and purchase some Taiwanese souvenirs. Then you will be transfered back to you hotel to refresh & Check In at the hotel. In the afternoon you are free to explore many parts of Taipei by yourself. You can take the MRT to go to Dienshuei, where you will be able to see many interesting boutique shops that carries the history of Taiwan. The "Tienshuei Old Street" should not be missed, where you can taste the many famous Taiwanese gourmet or snacks. In the evening about 6:30PM, your friendly tour guide will meet you at the hotel lobby to take you out to explore the night life of Taipei. Firstly, you will have Dinner at the Taiwanese dinner locally, then visit the oldest temple in Taiwan "Longshan Temple", and then off to the most colourful night market in Taiwan "Hwahsi Night Market"(aka Snake Valley). Day 3 (Sun)- Sun Moon Lake(B/X/X) 08:30 After breakfast, you will depart for your Around Taiwan Tour, picking up by your guide at hotel lobby then drive to Sun Moon Lake which is located in the middle of Taiwan and situated 762 meters above sea level in the lofty mountains of Central Taiwan. Tour will stop at the famous Wenwu Temple and Literature Warrior Temple dedicated to Confucius as Master of Pen and to Kuan Ti as Master of Sword, Holy Monk Shrine and Peacock Garden. After touring around the Sun Moon Lake, proceed to hotel for check in, stay overnight at Sun MoonLake.
Day 4 (Mon)- Foguangshan Monastery(B/X/X) 08:30 After Breakfast at the hotel, we will drive to Tainan City, the ancient capital of Taiwan. Situated on the southwestern coastal plains of the island and enjoys a warm climate all year round. It is the island's oldest and now fourth largest city. With its long history, Tainan is rich in historical sites and cultural heritage. We will take you to visit Chihkan Lou,Confucius Temple and Fort Anping, After Tainan, we will continue to Foguangshan Monastery,the biggest Buddhist Monastery in Taiwan.At the end of today you will be overnight at Foguangshan Monastery.
Day 5(Tue)-Taitung (B/X/X) 05:30 You can choose to wake up early this morning and join the monastery's chanting. Start with a physical warm up and followed by a short meditation course.09:00 Proceed to Taitung,13:00 Arrive at Chihpen,Taitung to check in hotel and enjoy the natural hot spring for the remainder of the day.
Day 6(Wed) - Chihpen(B/X/X) 08:30After breakfast, drive north along the east coast to visit Siaoyeliou,Sansientai,Stone Steps,and Bachi Scenic Lookout.17:00 Check in hotel, the remainder of the day will be free at your own leisure.
Day 7 (Thu)- Taroko (B/X/X)
08:30 After breakfast, we will take you to Taroko.Taroko Gorge is an exceptionally beautiful area of Taiwan. It is the 'Seven Wonder of Asia", its narrow raving created by the Liwu River which has cut deep into the mountains of solid marble. A road carved into sheer walls of rock rewinding its way past forested peaks and cliffs towering thousands of feet above it, while hundreds of feet below a river roars past gigantic marble boulders. Stops will be made at Eternal Spring Shrine, Swallow Grotto, Tunnel of Nine Turns, and Taroko Gorge. We will then drive back to Taipei via Su-Hua Highway and Hsuei-Shan Long Tunnel (12.9 kilometers) to arrive Taipei at around 6PM.
Day 8(Fri) - Taipei (X/X/X) After breakfast, you will have leisure time to explore the vibrant city of Taipei. Taipei is a shopholic's heaven. You can find all sorts of bargain to all the world famous brands at one shopping district. You can catch the MRT to many parts of the city, e,g. Ximending, Xingyi Shopping District, East Chungxiao Area for shopping. See some suggestions by click here. About 7PM in the evening, you will be transferred to the Taipei International Airport for flight back to Australia at 23:55PM. Alternatively, you may enjoy the rest of your stay in Taiwan !
