Day 1 WED: Depart Sydney AUSTRALIA 

Depart Sydney Australia by CI52 (SYD-TPE)  departing 22:10PM.
 

Day 2 THUR: Arrive Taipei TAIWAN - Nantou - Puli - Sun Moon Lake (B) 
Up on arrival at TPE Intl Airport this morning,  you will be met by Taiwan Holidays' friendly driver at arrival lobby & transfer to Taipei for the experience of Taiwan tour. Firstly, we visit the central of Taiwan.
Puli is at the center of Taiwan. The most famous tourist spots include the Puli Brewery Factory, Guangshing Paper Manufactory, and Chung Tai Chan Monastery. Sun Moon Lake is the only natural big lake in Taiwan. The southern part of Kuang Hua Island is shaped like a new moon, and the northern part is shaped like a sun; hence the name Sun Moon Lake. Te Hua House, Kuang Hua Island, the Xuanzang Temple, the Ci En Pagoda, and the Wen Wu Temple and so on. The natural forests bordering these roads are good places for bird watching.

The
Wen Wu Temple was built in 1938, because people worried the water of Sun Moon Lake might cover Lungfung Temple and Ihuatang of Shuishotsun. Ci En Pagoda is located on Sha Ba Lan Mountain near Sun Moon Lake. It was built by Chiang Kai-shek in memory of his mother in 1971. The tourist tracks as long as 700 meters lead to the Ci En Pagoda. Alongside the track are beautiful trees and flowers, which make the track easy and comfortable to walk along.

Day 3 FRI: Sun Moon Lake - Lukang - Kaohsiung (B)
Lukang
is situated on the west-central coast of Taiwan, at the edge of the coastal plain.
The most fascinating aspect of Lukang is a number of ancient streets and lanes lined with old houses. Tonight arrive the 2nd largest city in Taiwan, Kaohsiung City.

Day 4 SAT: Kaohsiung - Maopitou - Oluanpi- Kenting- Kaohsiung (B) 
Maopitou:  Literally "Cat's Nose", Maobitou is one of the two promontories that form the southernmost part of Taiwan, the other being the Oluanbi promontory. Oluanpi Light House: is a plateau at the southernmost end of the Central Range. The 21-meter-high Eluanbi Lighthouse is one of the most impressive lighthouses in Taiwan. Known as the "East Asian Light," it is a historic preservation site. Eluanbi Park spreads out over a coral and limestone terrain rich in unusual formations, caves, and animal and plant life. Every September flocks of brown shrike stop here on their migratory journey, attracting equally large flocks of birders.

Kenting National Park: The centerpiece of the Hengchun Peninsula is Kenting National Park, Taiwan's only tropical national park. Established in 1982, Kenting National Park covers a total area of 33,268 hectares of land and maritime environments. This is Taiwan's most densely populated national park, and it includes large stretches of agricultural land's providing visitors with a view of typical Taiwanese rural life. In addition, the national park includes mountains, forests, pasture, lakes, sand dunes, beaches, and coral reefs imply everything you could desire when you want to get up front and personal with Mother Nature.

Day 5 SUN: Kaohsiung - Taipei (B)

Kaohsiung City: Located in the southern part of Taiwan, the city of Kaohsiung is the island's largest industrial center. It has stayed abreast of Taiwan's recent progress and prosperity; expanding and modernizing, the city strides into the 21st century as a newly emerging international metropolis. Beginning centuries ago, Kaohsiung was called "Dagou" or "Dahgu, transliterated from the name of local aborigines. Disturbed by the violence of pirates in the area, in 1563, the "Takuo" tribe eventually moved to the site of present-day Pingtung city. This name persisted until 1920, when the city's name was changed to Kaohsiung.
Sightseeings today also include:
Cheng Ching Lake: It is the largest lake in the Kaohsiung area, developed originally as a reservoir to meet the need for water for industrial use.
Spring & Autumn Pavilions
: Two massive pavilions dedicated to Kuan Kung, the God of War, the Spring and Autumn Pavilions were completed in 1951.

Day 6 MON: Taipei City - Wulai Aboriginal Village - Taipei 101 - Night Market (B/X/D) 
After picking up from your hotel, you will be guided around some of Taipei's best attractions. This tour is a must if it's your first time in Taiwan. Firstly, you will be pointed out the Presidential Building when the driver drives pass it.Then visit the Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall, which towers over 25 hectares of landscaped gardens, graceful pavilions, and ponds in downtown Taipei. Martyrs' Shrine is a classic Ming Dynasty architecture, and you might have the opportunity to see the colorful ceremony of the changing of the guards at the entrance. Other places we visit are:  National Palace Museum, which houses the world's largest and most valuable collections of Chinese art treasures. The collection is even too large to be displayed at one time! While many popular pieces remain on permanent display, other items are rotated regularly, making each visit unique. Before lunch, we visit a traditional Taiwanese temple and Taiwanese Handicraft Centre. The Handicraft centre is a one-stop shopping place in Taipei for souvenirs, jewelery, art, furniture, and many other inexpensive Taiwanese craftsmanship mementos


Afternoon visit  the villages of
Chiufen which were once centre of gold mining in Taiwan.The gold is gone, but these quaint old villages, built of closely-packed houses clinging to steep mountainsides, continue to offer enchanting scenery and fascinating glimpses into the lifestyles of the past. Then you are taken to the Northeast coast National Scenic Area, located in the northeast corner of Taiwan. The scenic area is noted for its numerous capes - "Pitou Cape"; and bays - "Bay of Two Colors" backed by green mountains. The famous Nanya Rock Formations will be visited with your great admirations.

This evening enjoy dinner at local restaurant, then After dinner continue to the exotic
Hwahsi Street Night Markets and Snake Alley, lined with food stalls and small shops. Pick up a bargain! Kylie Minoque visited here on 3 December 2008, when she was touring her Asia concert tour and recorded a duet with the local singer, Jolin Tsai for a duet to be released in 2009.  The night tour of Taipei continues to the ancient Lungshan Temple, often crowded with worshipers. The Lungshan Temple is one of Taiwan's finest examples of temple architecture. Ancient Buddhist rituals are still practiced at the Lungshan Temple. The last stop on this night tour is at famous Taipei 101 Building, the world's 2nd tallest building. The 101 Building (admission to be payable direct) is a must-do attraction while in Taipei, 508 meters tall and completed in 1999, Taipei 101 contains a 5-storey shopping center.

Day 7 TUE: Taipei - Taroko Gorge Hualien - Taipei (B/L/X)
After picking up from your hotel at 6:00AM, you will be transferred to Taipei Station, entrain to Hualien. Then, you will enbus for the Taroko Gorge Gateway.

Taroko Gorge is the most visited place after Taipei in Taiwan."Taroko" means "Beautiful" in the lingo of the East Coast Amis natives, and this is exactly what you will say about the gorge when you arrive here. Firstly, you will be guided along a 20km long stretch of highway built into awesome marble cliffs high above the rushing river. Your route will take you through 38 tunnels including the Swallows Caves, the Tunnel of Nine Turns and the Marble Bridge of Motherly Devotion. See the Eternal Spring Shrine, one of the most photographed scenes around the gorge. These little temples were built to memorize those that have lost their lives in the construction of the central cross-island highway. Enjoy lunch at a local Taiwanese style restaurant. Continue to the Chi Hsing Beach and Hualien Stone Sculptural Park. The tour concludes with a visit to a Marble Factory. This tour's many attraction spots will leave you an unforgettable impression of the nature of Taiwan. You will be entrained for Taipei around 5PM. After arriving in Taipei Station, you will be transferred to your hotel in downtown Taipei City.

DAY 8 WED: Depart Taipei TAIWAN - Arrival Beijing CHINA (X/X/X)

Depart by CI511 08:05-10:55 TPE-PEK. Upon arriving at Beijing International Airport, you will be greeted by your tour guide and be transferred to hotel. The rest of the day is free to relax. (Free Pick-up Period: 9:00a.m.-11:30p.m.; passengers arriving adjacent within 2 hours will be picked up together; extra pick up fee: $60 vehicle / transfer for 2-3pax).

DAY 9 THUR: Beijing (B/L/D)

After breakfast, take an outside view of 【the National Grand Theater】. Then visit 【Tiananmen Square】-the biggest city central square in the world, the area of the square is about 44 hectares and it can accommodate 1 million people. Then explore the incredible 【Forbidden City】 with its best-preserved imperial palace complex. After lunch visit the famous【Temple of Heaven】. It was the Ming and Qing dynasties emperor worship, is the world's largest existing buildings of praying. Then taste the Puer tea with the tour guide. After dinner enjoy【Golden Mask Dynasty Show】. Then proceed to 【The Place】 to see the first electronic dream backdrop in Asia with the second largest scale in the world. After that enjoy the beautiful【Night Tour of Chang an Avenue in coach】.

DAY 10 FRI: Beijing - Overnight on Train to Xian (B/L/X)

After breakfast we will explore the【Juyongguan Great Wall】, one of the 'Seven Wonders of the World'. On the way there, visit Bona Jade Store first. After lunch, continue to take an outside view of 【Bird’s Nest】 and 【Water Cube】, which are Olympic stadiums of 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Then visit invigorant store with a free foot massage experience in the oreintal China. Afer the fun experience, transfer to the train station where many local restaurants are located for you to try the local food (your own expense), then take the overnight soft sleeper train to Xian.

DAY 11 SAT: Xi'an (B/L/D)

Upon arrival at Xian, meet with guide and have local breakfast. Then visit the【Ancient City Wall】 which still compasses the centre of Xi’an. It is the most complete one that has survived in China, as well being one of the largest ancient military defensive systems in the world. After that, continue to visit the dramatic【Small Wild Goose Pagoda】, famous Buddha's pagoda of Tang Dynasty. Then visit 【Xi’an Museum】, China's first national museum equipped with modern facilities. Dinner will be the century-old De Fa Chang Dumplings, one of China’s Intangible Cultural Heritage and the most famous dumplings’ restaurant in China. At night, enjoy the wonderful 【Tang Dynasty Music & Dance Show】.

DAY 12 SUN: Xi'an (B/L/D)

After breakfast visit the world-famous【Qin Emperor's Mausoleum &Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses】, the most significant archeological excavations of the 20th century. The Terracotta Army is one of the top attractions in China, because of its historical significance and uniqueness. After that, continue to visit Artistic Ceramics Factory, learn about the techniques of making Tang San Cai, as well as the terra cotta warriors. Then continue to visit the 【Big Wild Goose Pagoda】(outside view)—a Buddhist pagoda located in southern Xi'an. By the way, enjoy the【Music Conduit】beside the pagoda, which is the largest Music Conduit Square of Asia, experiencing the perfect combination of music and spring (except rainy or snowy days). Then visit【Qujiang Pool Park】. Many Tang style sculptures here show the real view of the living situation in that ancient Tang Dynasty.

DAY 13 MON: Xi'an - Shanghai - SuZhou  (B/L/D)

Take an early flight to Shanghai. Transfer to SuZhou after enjoying the Shanghainese lunch. Visit the【Garden of Master of the Nets】which is the smallest yet the most delicate landscape garden in SuZhou City. Then take a river boat in the famous 【Water Town】. After lunch, enjoy the beautiful scenery of 【Golden Cock Lake Scenic Area】, it is SuZhou's newly developed zone. Then visit 【Ligongdi Pub Block】. Later travel to 【Yuanrong Time Square】, a large scale comprehensive modern high quality 'commercial syntheses', where you can see the 500m long LED marquee screen which is the longest in the World. In the evening, we visit the Silk Fashion Show.

DAY 14 TUE: Suzhou - WuXi (B/L/D) 

After Breakfast, Transfer to Wuxi. Visit the 【Lihu Park】, and 【TaiHu Lake Scenic Area】. 【Turtle Head Park 】 is the City's most attractive tourist area and the best place to admire the beauty of 【TaiHu Lake】, which is one of the top five largest freshwater lakes in China and has been world famous for its fascinating beauty. Later appreciate the Pearl Display Centre and Tea Pot Factory. After dinner, check into the 5 star hotel for relaxation.

DAY 15 WED: WuXi - Hangzhou (B/L/D)

After breakfast, transfer to Hangzhou by bus. Enjoy a cruise tour on 【West Lake】with the hand-haninted boat - the sightseeing is the most famous attraction in Hangzhou. West Lake is man-made and created after the Chinese love foro garden style parks for recreation. EnjoyFish Wonder at Huagang Crook】. Then visit 【Meijiawu Tea Plantation】.  Then we will visit 【Jingci Temple】.  After dinner, enjoy the wonderful show--【Night of West Lake】.

DAY 16 THUR: Hangzhou - Shanghai (B/L/D)

Transfer to Shanghai after breakfast. We will visit【Pudong Newly Developed Zone】, which now has been transformed into the fastest developed international economic area in China with looming skycrapers and hi-tech international enterprises. Then visit the world renowned 【Shanghai Museum】  (e-guide fee excluded). It is a musuem display ancient Chinese arts, located on the Shanghai People's Square in the Huangpu District. China rebuilt the museum at current location in 1996 and is now considered one of China's first world class modern museu,s. 【People's Square  is hailed as the 'green lung of Shanghai City', which is eco designed landscape with beautiful garden located in the heart of city centre w here political, cultural, economical, transportation adn tourism came together. It is the most well know landmark of Shanghai. 
After lunch, visit the oriental silk rug display centre. Then take a Cruise on the Huangpu River】. While on the cruise, you may enjoy the panoramic view of the  amazing【Oriental Pearl Tower】, which is the symbol of  modern Shanghai City.

DAY 17 FRI: Shanghai (B/L/X)

After breakfast, enjoy the relaxing walk alongthe Bund】, is the most recognisable landmark in Shanghai today. There is a distinct contrast between the old and classical Bund at Puxi. On the other side of the river, are the sky scrapers and modern towers at Lujiazui, Pudong, the financial center of Shanghai, and China. Shanghai is unlike other major cities in China, it does not have the rich and long history of ancient China, but it is among the earliest Chinese city to enjoy international recognition and influence. Even without the ancient history, this walk is a classic in Shanghai. Explore the international buildings, with influences from all over the world. It is hard to imagine that a small fishing village would one day grow into this magnificent city .
Then continue to the bustling shopping district - 
Nanjing Road】. After that, explore the famous Xintiandi】, a stylish pedestrian street composed of Shikumen architecture and modern complex. The afternoon is free for you to enjoy at your leisure. At night, enjoy the magnificent theatre show, ERA-Intersection of Time】.
