Day 1 (Sat) Depart Australia

Depart flight from Sydney with China Airlines CI52 22:00 to Taiwan.

 

Day 2 (Sun) Arrive Tokyo JAPAN

Arrive Tokyo approximate 13:05, you will be met by your friendly Taiwan Holidays guide who will greet and transfer you to your hotel. The remaining day will be at your own leisure time. You may refresh at your hotel first or you may want to explore yourself nearby the hotel which has many interesting restaurants, shops and ramen eatery. Set in a brick building in Tokyo's CBD, this streamlined hotel is a 4-minute walk from the Onarimon subway station, and an 11-minute walk from the landmark Tokyo Tower.

Day 3 (Mon) Tokyo / Meiji Shrine / Imperial Palace / Tokyo Tower / Ginza / Akasaka / Akihabara (B/L)

Today is a full day of Sightseeing in Tokyo city including:- 

Meiji Shrine: Take in a fine example of Japanese shrine architechure , nestled in a peaceful , picturesque area.

Imperial Palace: Visit Imperial Palace Plaza and Double Bridge. Also visiting the inner moat, 15-feet thick  wall and pine trees surrounding the 250 acre fortress, home of the emperor and empress. 

Tokyo Tower: Enjoy a panorama of Tokyo from the main observation platform.

Ginza: Tokyo's most famous upmarket shopping, dining and entertainment district, featuring numurous department stores, boutiques, art galleries, restaurants, night clubs and cafes.
Enjoy a Japanese style LUNCH (Vegetarian meal is avaialble on requiest).

Afternoon sightseeings are: 
Hama-Rikyu Garden: A typical Daimyo (Japanese Feudal Lord) Garden in the Edo-Period with a tidal pond.
Sumida River Cruise: Enjoy a boat ride from the Port of Tokyo, Hinode Pier to Asakusa and see a harmonioioius blend of old and new Tokyo.
Asakusa Kannon Temple & Namamise Shopping Street: One of the most famous culture landmark in Tokyo. Walk down an active shopping street "Nakamise" leading to one f the finest Buddhist temples in Japan.
Kappabash (Drive through).
Ueno & Akihabara (Drive through).

Day 4 (Tue) Tokyo / Mt. Fuji / Hakone Ropeway / Lake Ashi Cruise / Owakudani Valley (B/L)

Enjoy scenery of rural Japan driving along to Mt. Fuji and panaramic view from the 5th Station (approx. 8,000 ft. altitude) and also double-wired Sky Gondola (Hakone Ropeway) in Hakone. Visit Owakudani Boiling Valley where you can smell sulfurous fume and take a boat Cruising across peaceful Lake Ashi. Tonight you will be able to enjoy the hot spring in your overnight hotel at Hakone. This area is most popular and famous for hot spring for many centries.

Day 5 (Wed) Kyoto / Kiyomizu Temple / Kodaji Temple / Yasaka Shrine / Gion District (B)

This moring experience the BULLET TRAIN: Hakone to Kyoto (150 minutes). You will arrive the ancient capital - KYOTO.
Afternoon Sightseeing of Kyoto city including:-

Kiyomizu Temple: This architecturally unique temple has a main hall on a steep slope with a wooden platform supported by pillars, from which a panoramic view of Kyoto can be enjoyed.

Kodaji Temple: Temple commemorates Toyotomi Hideyoshi, a great general in 16th century. It was founded by his widow.

Yasaka Shrine: Well known as the central site for the Gion-Matsuri Festival, held in summer.

Gion District: Gion is one of the famous entertainment and geisha quarters, with traditional restaurants and tea-houses.
In the Edo Period, ochaya (geisha houses) were built in this area. It still retains its tranquil, old-fashioned charm.

Day 6 (Thu) Nara / Tondaji Temple / Nara Deer Park / Kufuguji Temple (B)

Sightseeing of Nara, the Imperial capital of Japan in the 8th century including:-

Tondaji Temple: The temple has an enormous bronze Buddha image within its Daibutsuden Hall, one of the largest wooden structures in the world.

Nara Deer Park: Walk among the 1,100 or so tame deer roaming about the park. They are considered divine messengers.

Kufuguji Temple: This temple was transferred from Kyoto in 710. It has a five-story pagoda, the second highest in Japan.

Day 7 (Fri) Kyoto / Osaka JAPAN / Taipei TAIWAN (B)

After breakfast, free of leisure until transfer to Kansai International Airport by Airport Shuttle Bus for your flight CI173 or CI157 to Taipei. You will have leisure time to explore the vibrant city of Taipei. Taipei is a shopaholic’s heaven. You can find all sorts of bargain to all the world famous brands at one area. You can catch the MRT to : Ximending, Xingyi Shopping Districtfor shopping.
Hotel is a 5-minute walk from MRT, 3 km from the art exhibitions at Songshan Cultural and Creative Park and 4 km from Tapei 101 skyscraper. Featuring free Wi-Fi, the refined rooms also have cable TV, minifridges, and tea and coffeemakers. Day 8 (Sat) Taipei City Tour / Wulai Aboriginal Village & Waterfall / Taiepi Night Tour (B/D)

At approximately 8AM, you will be picked up from your hotel lobby to experience the magical PINXI SKY LANTNER, SHIFEN OLDTOWN & WATERFALL, NOSTAGIC RAIL STATOIN in the north east  area of Taiwan.
Afternoon visit Taipei City's must see places. Sightseeings for today are: Presidential Building (pass  by), Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall and National Palace Museum (has the world's largest Chinese Art and painting collection), Martyrs's Shrine, Chinese Temple then the Taiwanese Handicraft Centre, where you can see and purchase some Taiwanese souvenirs. 

Tonight’s tour, will exploring the night life of Taipei. Firstly, you will have TAIWANESE DIN-TAI-FUNG DINNER, then visit the oldest temple in Taiwan "LONGSHAN TEMPLE" and then off to the most colourful night market in Taiwan "HWAHSI NIGHT MARKET" (aka Snake Valley). World's 2nd tallest building in the world "TAIPEI 101" which has the most trendy shops

Day 9 (Sun) North Coast / Yehliu / Chiufen Village / Taipei (B)

Today you will see panoramic view of KEELUNG HARBOUR and YEHLIU PARK famous for its natural rocks formations. Cave of the Immortals, a narrow natural cleft in a hill containing Buddhist shrines and sculptures.
Yehliu Park is known for its spectacular rock formations, sculptured throughout the ages by wind and sea erosion leaving fascinating pillars including the famous QUEEN’S HEAD & FAIRY’S SHOES is magnificent beauty of nature.

CHIUFEN VILLAGE
 famous for its old mining town's charming characteristics. Many famous Taiwanese movies were short here. You will be able to see beautiful sunset when you arrive at the village. Also visit: PITOU CAPE, NANYA ROCK FORMATION, BAY OF TWO COLOURS, and drive pass CHINKUASHIH VILLAGE.

Day 10 (Mon) Sun Moon Lake (B)

After breakfast, you will be pickup by your guide at the hotel lobby then drive to Sun Moon Lake which is located in the middle of Taiwan and situated 762 meters above sea level in the lofty mountains of Central Taiwan. Tour will stop at the famous Wenwu Temple and Literature Warrior Temple dedicated to Confucius as Master of Pen and to Kuan Ti as Master of Sword, Holy Monk Shrine and Peacock Garden. After touring around the Sun Moon Lake, proceed to hotel for check in, stay overnight at Sun Moon Lake. The hotel we stayed is at Fleur De Chine, which is the newest (built in 2009) deluxe '6 star' hotel at Sun Moon Lake, which is the only hotel in the area that has the unique detox hot spring & spa facility inside the hotel.

Day 11 (Tue) Historical Jiji Rail Station / Foguanshan Monastery / Kaohsiung (B)

After breakfast at the hotel, we will drive to the historical Jiji Rail Station, the center township of Taiwan. Later, we travel to the largest buddhist temple in Taiwan, FOGUANGSHAN BUDDHIST MONASTERY, learn about Buddhism during the monastery walking tour to visit “BUDDHA MEMORIAL CENTRE” and communicate with some of the monks & nuns.  You may taste Buddhist vegetarian lunch (at your own cost). Continue to KAOHSIUNG CITY, 2nd largest city of Taiwan. Visit LOVE RIVER and LIUHE NIGHT MARKET. Overnight at luxury hotel above Luxury Goods HanLai Department Store

Day 12 (Wed) Kenting / Taitung (B)

Today, the highlight for many visit Taiwan is a visit to Kenting National Park, undoubtly one of the most beautifully  reserved natural forest in Taiwan. It is located in south of Taiwan with popular beach bordering on the tropical region of Taiwan where palm tree, banana trees, sugar cane and surfing beach are part of the scene. It's an excellent place for swim, surf and dive. Other sightseeings will be visited today are the southern most tip of Taiwan, "Maopitou" (named after the shape of cat-nose-like rock). The coast of coral reef is worth a visit for land reforms which strongly affected by wave erosions, efflorescene and salt-soaking. The natural landscape like wave erosion caves, ditches and pillars are amazing, sea view here is attractive and very enjoyable. The Oluanpi Light House will also be visited. We then continue to Taitung via the scenic Southern Link Highway. Overnight at Taitung and enjoy a relaxing bath at the 5 star hotel's Spa & Hot Spring recreation area in the Chihpen holiday resort.

Day 13 (Thu) East Coast Scenic Tour / Hualien (B)

After breakfast, you will be on the exciting East Coast National Scenic Tour. The East Coast National Scenic Area known as "Taiwan's Last Unspoiled Land", stretched 170 kilometres down the east coast of the island. Weathering, erosion and accumulation have produced a wide range of landforms here. Our tour will stop at Siaoyeliou, Sansientai, Stone Steps, Caves of the Eight Immortals. Overnight at the luxury 5 stars hotel inside the Taroko Gorge National Park.

Day 14 (Fri)  Taroko Gorge / Taipei Int'l Airport (B)

This morning you will depart for Taroko National Park. Taroko Gorge is an exceptionally beautiful area of Taiwan. It is the 'Seven Wonder of Asia", its narrow raving created by the Liwu River which has cut deep into the mountains of solid marble. A road carved into sheer walls of rock rewinding its way past forested peaks and cliffs towering thousands of feet above it, while hundreds of feet below a river roars past gigantic marble boulders. Stops will be made at Eternal Spring Shrine, Swallow Grotto, Tunnel of Nine Turns, Marble Bridge, Tienshiang and Marble Factory. You will be transpored to Taipei International Airport for your onward flight (CI51 23:55) back to Australia.

 

Day 15 (Sat) Arrive Australia

The flight will arrive Sydney approximately before 11AM.
