"We were in Taipei on our Honeymoon; it was a free stopover with the SF - Taipei - Bali and back route. We got in pretty late at night from Bali (where we got married) and went directly to Les Suites Da - An. They were courteous and friendly and pointed us to a cool restaurant / lounge that was still open at that hour. Back at the hotel the room was modern and comfortable. The bathroom was nice, marble countertop, and spacious. They served great breakfast every morning; the Continental kind (bacon, sausages, eggs) and the traditional Chinese kind (porridge, meat, pickles) both were very tasty. Because of the smallish size of the hotel, they have a coffee shop style business centre with couches and round tables with two to four seating’s. When breakfast hour was over, they promptly take all the food away and brought out all the laptops to transform the space into a business centre. The espresso machine was super for us; coffee in that part of the world can fall short of what you're used to here. Beer and wine was served in the evenings at the Business centre/ breakfast site, which was a nice touch.
The location of the hotel was also ideal for us, not in the centre of everything like the other Les Suites in Taipei but the subway is right around the corner, and taxis are abundant, there's always a couple parked outside the hotel.
Maybe Taipei isn't the ideal Honeymoon Destination but Les Suites is definitely the ideal Honeymoon Hotel."
