Maokong is located in Wenshan District of Taipei, Taiwan. The area used to be the biggest tea growing area of Taipei. There are many intertwining footpaths which have been used to transport tea. Now, it is a popular place for tea culture and viewing the night scenery of Taipei City.



Taipei hotel - Taipei Zoo MRT Station→Take the Maokong Gondola to Maokong Station → Camphor Trail (Rustic scenery)→Zhangshan Temple (Bird's-eye view of Taipei) → Red Teahouse Area (Tieguanyin cuisine)→Take the gondola from Maokong Station to the Taipei Zoo Station (Musical fountain display)→Return to downtown Taipei's hotel

Maokong Gondola: is a gondola lift transportation system in Taipei, Taiwan. Opened on July 4, 2007, the Maokong Gondola runs between Taipei Zoo and Maokong. The total length of the line is 4,030 meters. The facilities of the gondola were contracted to the French company Poma.

Zhangshan Temple: Zhangshan Temple is Erge Mountain's second famous temple after Zhinan Temple. The temple courtyard offers superb views, and thus attracts numerous hikers, as do the teahouses throughout the neighborhood. Three trails (the Zhangshan Temple trail, Zhinan Elementary School trail and Jiuqian Temple trail) connect with other recreational spots nearby.
