Taiwan's production and export numbers of bicycles are both over sixty percent in the world. This show will display bicycles with the highest quality and most reliable equipments. The exhibits are divided into three areas: complete bicycles area, bicycle parts and accessories area, and light electric vehicles (LEV) area. Of course, the most eye-catching exhibits this year will be the electric vehicles.

The organizer of this show states that there will be over nine hundred companies participate with nearly thirty-nine hundred booths, which has exceed previous years. Since the planned show room can only contains twenty-nine hundred booths, the exhibition area will be expanded outdoor. The participated international companies include Campagnolo, Continental, Colnago, DT Swiss, FSA, Fulcrum, GIANT, Hayes, IDEAL, KENDA, MAXXIS, MERIDA, Shimano, SRAM, and TOPEAK. In addition, Taiwan’s most famous motor car company, China Motor, and Japan’s SANYO Electric Company will both show their newest electric vehicles.

2010 Taipei International Cycle Show includes a professional road bicycle racing event called “Taiwan de Tour”. The race starts from Mar. 14th to 20th, and the goal will be at the Nangang Exhibition Hall. This event is expected to attract more visitors to come to the exhibition.

Other events are an award ceremony of the 14th International Bicycle Design Competition (IBDC) held on March 17th, and a forum about electric vehicles held on March 18th. The purpose of IBDC is to cultivate bicycle designers and discover better bicycle designs.
